Grey Love...

"She was / The love of my life! / And now / The one I despise!
She came for my doom,

And then ruined it all...

What went wrong? / I can't say... / Now all's gone... / Blown away...
She was the rose,
The rose of black.
That said 'I love you'
And turned her back...

She was the light,
Shining up high.
She went away
But never really died...

This is so deep, I don't think I understand it completely...I hope I don't break the contest's rules anywhere in this submission...although I don't think I'll win (there are some exceptionally good submissions to this...) I hope to be close to that...I hope...

EDIT:somethings I forgot to say:

Four tones of grey, entirely made on Phtoshop CS. The 'wrtten' part is a bit of a music I'm composing, about something that really happened (I'm not gonna tell ya...read the song and try to figure it out...) I wrote something else that was intended to be part of the submiision, but, in the end, it didn't really fit in the submission, so I ended up not posting it...anyway, as bonus, here it is:

Her heart beats no more...
How can you say she's dead,
If she's never lived before?"

I written much more but this is the only one worthy showing...also, please don't criticise these 'writings/poems" much, because I'm portuguese and only 14, therefor I lack some knowledge in English
